Lebeau - defensive play caller

Not too surprising. Horton was tired of being in his shadow. I'd of done the same.

Here's a nice quote from the article though:

“My first thought after talking with Ray, I called coach LeBeau and I said, ‘Coach, I’ve got some news for you. Ray is not going to be here,’ " Mularkey said, growing animated. "And he was like, ‘Yeeessssss!’

 

Mularkey's comments sound pretty harsh against Horton. I don't think it was intentional though. Could have picked his words better though. Not good to spread excitement that one of your coaches is leaving.

 

Yeah, felt that way about him saying Mariotta struggled at the line as well. A coach should protect his young guys and not throw them publicly under the bus. Desernment issues.

 

I used to really like Ray Horton, but the longer I see him in action the less I liked him. I just hope LeBeau doesnt die on us.
