I still say he will have a chance in a long break during a stage before it's over.

Apparently the guy "was in fear for his life" after the cyclists were banging on his car.
The lead investigator basically said he is a bullshit artist.

I would like to see Jens get a stage win since this is probably his last Tour 42 is old for a pro cyclist or football player. Valverde will have to gain 2 mins. over the other GC riders in the mountains since he will lose close to that much in the ITT. Cancellara will be the man of the hour or day in stage 5 on the cobbles. He is arguably the best cobble rider in the world.
Overall it is still Froome's race to lose. Sky is a very talented team and can tempo ride like hell when necessary to keep the pace high. I still would not mind seeing a Nabali or Valverde win.

They do each day but it is overall time that determines the overall leader. You might win today...but lose 15 minutes in the mountains.

Our here, Kevin Reza rode very well leading out his sprinter (Bryan Coquard) to a 4th place finish. Reza wound up in 54th place today.

You have to keep in mind that even though it is a 3 week race, each day is a race in itself. That keeps the interest high. Sprinter usually win the flat stages, which we have had up until now(although there were several tough climbs yesterday) but when the roads tilt up, they (the sprinters) will be far, far behind. In fact they will struggle just to stay in the race as there is a time cutoff each day that is basically 15-20% (depending on the course and distance) of the winners time. So if the winner does the stage in 5 hours, the sprinters (or anyone else) will have to finish within 30-60 minutes of the winner or they are out of the race.
