Lavelle Hawkins Places as Best TN WR in Drop Rate

Finding a fourth receiver who barely plays isn't hard.

It's not like most people are saying he shouldn't be brought back. He just isn't someone who's going to make or break this team if he's warming someone else's bench.

 

He's not going to break the team but what about showing a little loyalty to the players we have. Hawk was a big part of this corp's success this year even though he didn't have a ton of receptions.

What makes the leagues top passing teams great is their receiving core. It takes more than just the #1 receiver to make the passing game work. We had a huge improvement in our passing numbers this past year and I feel its in our best interest to keep that group moving forward.

 

If we're giving him what he's worth, which really isn't a lot, then sure. If someone is going to give him more than he's worth then let him walk. Loyalty doesn't count for anything.

You can argue the Titans were way more loyal to Hawkins than he ever deserved. He made the team after having 19 receptions in three years.

What makes the league's top-passing teams great is their quarterback. People aren't going to give Lance Moore a lot of money once he leaves the Saints and if someone does they'll regret it. Hawkins isn't even as good as Moore either.

 

No loyalty CJtheBeast, that's why we all hated Fisher, he was too loyal to his pals. This is the NFL, which stands for Not For Long.

Hawkins hasn't made the most of his time, he's not someone we should try to accommodate. If he stays, cool, I have no problems with him, but there's 20 other guys we can find to do what he did, and maybe better.

 

Really couldn't care any less if this guy stays or goes, we could replace him in a second.

 

Trust me, there's better out there...guys that score TD's.

 

Get rid of the scrub
