Cowboys release veteran guard Allen for salary reasons

The Cowboys released guard Larry Allen on Tuesday, likely cutting ties to one of the most dominant offensive linemen in NFL history. ...more

Probably the best guard of all time. He'll get to play as long as he wants to somewhere.

is he too old to be a part of what we are trying to do in Tennessee?
is this a player that you look at and say there isn't much upside for the future cause his best days are behind him, or would he simply cost too much, or both? Anytime you see the Cowboys on TV, the commentors/analysts are always talking about what a "great" he is...I wonder...:hmm:

Money, age, and lack of need at the position.

Watch Arizona sign him. They have a guard who just signed an offer sheet elsewhere. They could let him go and replace him with Allen.

Or Seattle could replace Hutchinson with him.

I'm sure a few teams who have money to spend would have an interest.
