Brown isn't a terrible coach, just a terrible fit for that team.

Put Brown on a really young team that needs intensity and focus and they will play hard. Put Brown on a team of stars and the players won't respect him.

Yeah. He reminds me of Jeff Van Gundy, both are a defensive minded coach with a very light offensive playbook. But in Cleveland, he had LeBron, so he pretty much put the ball in his hands and had everyone else get out of the way.

...which was absolutely perfect for that team, since Lebron is so good at creating shots for others.

Without some kind of motion offense, Kobe puts his head down and creates his own shot and Gasol disappears.

Mike Brown has always been a shitty coach. It blew my mind when the Lakers hired him. The moment I heard they trying to run a variation of the Princeton offense I knew he wouldn't last long, but I thought it would take more than FIVE games.

People discredit Phil Jackson for winning with talent, but somehow Mike Brown gets a pass for losing with talent. Can't win a ring with Lebron James or Kobe Bryant, you suck.

Oh well. Bring on a real coach.

It looks like the Phil Jackson rumors are real... we'll see. I really thought he was done.
