Probably right, but if we don't get one in the 2nd I think we have to take one in the 3rd or all the good ones will be gone(and there are quite a few good ones this year)

His 2010 season makes him worth a 3rd rd pick. Yes there is some risk there and i wonder why he didn't do more this past year but he has first rd talent. If he didn't get hurt in 2011 he probably would be a first rd back.

Bell if also available would be a lower risk pick but Davis can be a stud!

In 2010 this guy was every bit as good as Trent Richardson and Mark Ingram. The incredible speed was very noticeable.

Davis is a pure speed guy. He depends on it too much for me to like him. (combined with injury history) He doesn't run instinctively. Just fast. Best thing he does is hit the LOS without hesitation, but he has no open field vision.

Bell is the opposite. He's the type that'll be better in the NFL than he was in college. Crazy instincts and footwork. Runs like AP used to in the open field. He'd be hard to pass up.

Another benefit Davis has over Bell is that Davis is hardly a guy with a lot of mileage on him. His work load was heavy for one year only. Bell has almost 2X as many career carries.

Either Bell or Davis would be fine with me for that late 3rd rd pick. The Ravens drafted a back in the third rd last year and it paid great dividends for them. Bernard Pierce had over 500 yards rushing last year spelling Rice.

We need a guy like that.

We could just sign a FA RB(Beanie Wells, R Mendenhall, P Hillis, M Turner, R Jennings, J Battle)...I'm sure we could get one of them for as cheap as 1 million/year. I don't really want to draft Knile Davis any earlier than about the 5th. His injury history is too much to spend an early pick on him. Now, if Leveon Bell fell to our late 3rd/4th round pick, hell yes we need to get him. Will he fall that far? Probably not.

Chris Johnson is a pure speed guy. Knile Davis' pro comparison: Darren McFadden...All the tools to be the best, but can't stay healthy to save his life.

You named a bunch of guys who are basically done in this league and that is why they are so cheap. Davis is a 21 year old kid with first rd type talent. He is well worth a late 3rd rd pick.

Davis had broken bones at Arkansas and high school ankles and a collarbone. I'm not sure if that is a habitual thing just bad luck as long as they look at his ankles and conclude they are sound. Obviously the injuries didn't take away his speed.

This is a good kid who was bagging groceries at 14 to help his family get by. It's obvious looking at him at the combine that he was not injured do to poor conditioning he is a rock of muscle who lifted big time, 31 reps.

They were talking Heisman in 2011 before he broke his ankle. This is a big time talent

Yeah, he missed 2 out of 3 seasons in college and he missed his final 2 seasons of high school....and you think he will last in the NFL? lol...Trust me, I wanted him too, but after I found out about his injury history there is no way I'd take him before the 5th.
