Or just the whole d-line is getting really fricken tired being on the field for 2/3rds of every game.

This game it wasn't as much as them not forcing the 3 and outs as it was the quick strike TD's. It's always nice to get a TD, but when the defense was just out there for a 5 minute scoring drive against them, and then a run back punt or kickoff, doesn't give them a huge breather.

 

Same with Casey.. haven't seen him alot this year (other than the Shaun Hill tackle)

 

Has anyone on our DL really stepped up? Wimbley has played well but...

 

I haven't been really impressed with anyone on the dline. Wimbley has been decent, but nothing to write home about. Morgan is just kind of there and the DTs are just seeming to take up space.

I am really disappointed with our pass rush to this point. Grey needs to send Ayers and Brown on a blitz more. We got the speed and coverage abilities at LB, lets use it.

 

Yeah Klug hasn't made a play this year. With the addition of Wimbley, I thought the DTs would have monster years. But so far they haven't done a d@mn thing.

I'm shocked what I'm seeing from Morgan though. Maybe, just maybe he won't be a huge bust.

 

I think the Defense especially the Line is exhausted by halftime or the 3rd quarter of every game. Im not saying the offense did a bad job of driving the ball yesterday, they just scored so quick at times that the defense was on the field most of the second half. I think this is why Detroit ran through us and was able to score so easily at the end of the game, not to mention we were in prevent which is a joke! I would like to see what our defense could do when they aren't on the field for a whole game.

 

Wanted to bump up this thread for this stat --

"Karl Klug was only on the field for six defensive snaps. His playing time is dropping on a week by week basis."

WTF? Anyone know why... I mean MM is kiling it right now, and looks like our best DT. Marks and Casey are good too. Klug led our team in sacks last year, now can't even get on the field.

 

Difference in when he played as concerned about what position. Pretty sure he played 3tech all last year beside Casey and I didn't watch closely enough of the rotation of yesterday's game but martins been basically playing the 1 tech that Casey does also. I don't think we have actually been putting Martin and Casey on the field together. I need to go watch that game closely now.
