Kiffin's certainly "winning the press conferences" right now. I've been impressed with what he's been able to do so far. Now we'll see if he can actually coach.

Did you actually watch the All Star HS game? He got Lendale White type yards, where he ran through a huge hole and didn't see anyone til he was about 15 yards down field.

And the Army game is about as competitive as the Pro Bowl.

I will say, after watching his highlights again that he seems to have deceptive speed. He looks very slow, but he runs past people. I can't tell if it's him or if he played in a weak football region. Either way- Kiffin is doing the 1 thing we knew he could do, and that's recruit...

If he can coach the talent, then we can be surprised. Fulmer could recruit, too.

I did watch the game and he and Boyd were clearly two of the best players ok the field. He runs a sub 4.4 and he had 146 yards and 2 tds. Don't care what kind of yards they are...that's pretty good.

Gloat is one of the only people in America "not sold" on BB. Go figure.

"but he looks like he's as slow as the slowest offensive lineman in college..." - that's about as asinine as you get right there.

I'm not saying that the kid is a lock solid stud, but folks have had him as one of the top, if not the top, RB in the country in any class the last 2-3 years. Not like he just burst onto the scene this year.

He does LOOK very slow. You guys are way too sensitive. Can't ever honestly critique someone if you're on their bandwagon.
He looks a lot slower than he actually is. Big deal. He also looks like a wrecking ball the way he bounces off people or through them.

    We'll see...

    Freshman All-American lock, IMO.

And just another tid-bit for Gloat to chew on: Brown played in the same high school city league as Barry Sanders, and broke all of Sanders' major records. That's a good start.

It's not the critiquing really. If you think he's slow, as ridiculous as it is, it's fine.

The thing that gets me is I've been waiting for you to come into this thread and knock BB for a good 2-3 weeks now. And it's finally happened.

The only critiquing I have for him after watching his highlights is he bounces EVERYTHING to the outside. But most poorly coached HS backs do the same thing. Gran will fix that in no time.

I didn't say he's slow. I said he looks slow. And how am I knocking him?

You're proving my point: Getting overly defensive about a player you adore being critiqued. Ignore the positive things I've said and lock in on that I said he's "slow" by saying he appears to be slow, but also seems to have deceptive speed.

Actually read the posts if you're going to respond to them, please.
