Yes... Young receivers can take off in their 4th season if they've previously shown light. Hawkins has done absolutely nothing to make me think he's going to be taking off.

It's June. The depth chart has very little relevance to what we'll see in September. Anyone want to guess who our two opening outside LBs will be?

Normally I would just say that this is Fishbag being Fishbag, but I'm actually with him on this one. Kenny needs to know that he's not just gonna be given that starting spot. And if he's not gonna come to work prepared and in good shape then he will wait his turn to reps.

Plus I'm really hoping that Hawk makes the team. He's been below-average up until this point but I believe in the kid and want to see him do well.

^I really think he could show us something in 2010. Hawkins was immature and didn't dedicate himself earlier in his career. Now he's understanding things as they unfold, and has confidence that comes with playing for a while. I'm not suggesting he becomes our top flight guy, but to me he's ready to put Justin Gage in his place as the 4th option.

Why is anyone expecting anything from Hawkins? He's just not going to be much of a WR in the NFL. Which makes sense... he wasn't ever really impressive in college, either.

Yeah, Fish just likes to give everybody a "Fair" chance, he will hopefully at least be a #2 by September.

Congratulations to Lavelle Hawkins who has now become the team measuring stick for whether you suck as a wr or not. LOL
