Coach Jeff Fisher indicated that Kenny Britt is still climbing back up the depth chart until he resolves his "consistency and time" issues.
Britt is still behind Lavelle Hawkins on the depth chart, earning his way back into coach Jeff Fisher's good graces after a wayward offseason. ESPN's Paul Kuharsky believes it will be a "huge disappointment" if Britt isn't the Titans' top receiver by the end of preseason action. We agree, but he's got a lot of ground to make up in August.

That just doesnt sound right, Britt was awesome last year and now he is behind Hawkins? WTH!

I'm confident this is all for show. He will be a starting WR when the season begins.

    Wouldn't surprise me.

Just more Jeff Fisher being a complete idiot about playing less talented players in front of others.

He had problems in camp last year too, once the season comes around he'll be fine.

Fisher does not get his team. He really doesn't. Britt, Young, and Johnson are not going to be technical about the job. Nor should they be. They are athletes. And it would be one thing if they were not producing on the field, but they all are, and they are all winners. It's like he wants a technically sound team out there, when what he really needs to do is let these guys just freelance a bit. I just don't think he gets his team. It's should be no suprise that the Titans are one of the best 2 minute teams in the league, because that is the only time in the game they can just go out and play. To me, it's just another sign that he's not coaching to the talents of his team. Britt is a clear starter on this team.

Much like how he'll say Jared Cook needs to be more consistent. Play your playmakers. Being consistently average isn't better than being a playmaker that might not know the playbook to a T.
He'll never learn if he hasn't already. Hopefully this is the last season we have him. Once we bomb again or fail to make the playoffs, I can't see anything saving him AGAIN.

Britt came into camp last year out of shape and was hurt early on in camp.....and he came out of shape this year again and had to be held back a week till he got in shape. He seems to be taking the same approach during the offseason as Lendale did when he was here. These guys have to take their jobs a little more seriously and become professionals.....they can't rely just on talent in the NFL.

I am behind Fish on this one although I believe he'll be at the top by the start of the season......he will on my starting line up in Madden regardless.....;o)

I think this is just a kick in the tactic for Britt.

Though I do hope LaVelle is kicking too.

What I was thinking. This is probably just for show and I don't see how you can fault the coach for trying to get a grip on his players. I agree about the lackluster playcalling on gameday, but keeping a disciplined group is essential.

On the other hand, it would be awesome if this speaks more about Hawkins's progress than it does about Britt being disappointing.

Hawkins is now in his 4th season I believe, isn't that when young WR's usually take off.... Normally I'm trashing Fisher for being an imbecile, but hopefully Hawkins is now becoming that guy most thought he could be.
