    Well players like to wait and see what the other players got at the same position they play, and base it off that is one case.

    Another example is Brady Quinn wanted to get paid top QB money even though he was drafted 22nd because he should have been in the top 5.

    While that is true for the 1st round, late round picks get paid pretty much the minimum. So there, I think is more a matter of just making time. I bet each one takes about 5 minutes. Nice to see us get started.

    This is why I like what the NBA does. They already have a set salary for every pick. So the players can't hold out or anything like that. Most of the rookies are already in summer league like O.J. Mayo getting ready for the season.

    i know most GMs go on a little vacation at some point between the ending of the draft and the start of training camp, that probably has something to do with it.
