I figure this may be one of the veteran cuts come the final 53 man roster. Is he worthy enough to remain on our roster, or should he go??? I'm not sure if Lavar Edwards, Ropati Pitoitua, Scott Solomon and everyone else at the end position (with wishful thinking regarding Morgan) is any better. Pretty disappointed so far as many of you are in his play.

Possible role reversal could be putting him back at this original position, linebacker.

The only time Kam is good is when he's going against backup offensive tackles. Can't believe we gave this scrub that amount of money.

He is our pass rush specialist now. Maybe not worth the money, but he's going to be on the team no doubt.

We do not really have anything better. Lavar is way too green at this point. Pitoitua is a completely different type of player and cannot offer what we need out of Wimbley. Salomon was moved to LB as he was a bust at DE. At this point I think we are stuck with Wimbley for the 2013 season. Even with the money he makes. It is not like the team will need that money before the offseason.

It would be totally stupid to cut him. There is no logical reason for it and the SB money has already been paid so why not get something for that?

Why do so many posters miss that concept? He is an investment we need to get some value for that investment. Yes it sucks that he isn't a quality every down player but we have to try him in a role he can succeed at.

I hope like hell we don't have one of those situations where we start wishing we would've went after someone like Abraham or Idonije.

If he underperforms i'm pretty sure Gregg Williams won't have a problem sticking Lavar Edwards in his place.

He is on the squad. We really don't need anymore cap this year so cutting him makes no sense and he may just contribute enough as a pass rush specialist. We are in a must win year the FO is keeping a 35 mil DE in hopes he does something this year to prove his worth. The only other option is a rookie DE who could be better but it is a big risk in such a crucial year. Next year is a different story.

I'm pretty sure cutting him doesn't save much money right now, and we don't need it anyway. He absolutely makes the 53.

I think he played too many snaps last year. I think he'll do better as a situational pass rusher.

No reason to cut him. He is better than the rest of the scrubs we have at DE anyway. Yeah he might not be worth the money, but better to get something out of him than cut him and pay most of his salary anyway.
