He took the soul of that Left Tackle. I actually felt sorry for him.

Although I don't see him having it THAT easy the whole season...he sure looked good against those Cardinals. Definitely a welcomed addition. He's really going to help out our pass defense this season.

He did a great job, and Morgan showing up on his side helped KW succeed also

Hopefully he remains consistent all year. I have no doubt he'll destroy some of the bad LT tackles in the league, but hopefully he can go toe to toe with the good ones. That's gonna be the key, and hopefully he's decent in run D too.

I really think this guy (particularly given the money we paid him) is going to be key in whether or not our defense is successful this year.

He dominated a practice squad left tackle against the Chargers last season for four of his seven sacks. He did the same thing against the Cardinals. Sweet.

He's better than what we had last year, but I'm still not expecting 10+ sacks.

I think we get more worth out of him with how well he works with Ayers. I bet those two mix up things on that side.

To be fair, he was in a different type role in a completely different defense... could be a lot different with us.

I actually am expecting right around 10-11 sacks from him. Maybe that's expecting too much, but I don't think so.

Also, sacks don't tell the whole story. Last year, he ranked close to the top in QB hits/pressures ahead of a lot of elite pass rushers. That can be just as good or better than a sack (if it forces a pick).

Derrick Morgan lead the defense in QB pressures last year and everyone thought he sucked anyway. Sacks mean a lot. The only time people say that pressures are just as good as sacks is when they're making excuses.

He'll be better than Jason Jones, that's for sure, but I'm still in a wait and see mode with him. It'll be interesting to see how they use him throughout the year.

I also wouldn't be surprised if he beat Nate Solder a couple of times in the first week, that guy sucks.
