Stress of the scandal at his age did him no favors..

My father will be upset when he hears of this. PSU is his team..his nephew played for them.

Sad, Joe Pa was from the "best generation" and I am sure had no idea of how to deal with the things that happened. Not the way he should have went out.

    I told everyone...

"This is going to kill him- watch. "

And it will. *******s making him seem like the rapist. Makes me hate the media more and more.

    Yep.

Joe Pa's treatment through all that was terrible. Everyone focused more on him than Sandusky.

    RIP to a great coach.

his error in judgement, and the other higher ups at PSUs failure too act, allowed more victims.

It is a shame that Paterno will always be linked to this scandal

In time the scandal will be in faded memory what he did for 46 years will always be remembered as one of the greatest College Football coaches ever.

I don't know what to think of this thread......

I think he could have done more (much, much more) but to try and say he did not deserve his fair share of the blame is naive. He could have ended it and everyone knows it.

I'm not sure that the scandal is what's killing him. He's 85 years old. That's old...
