Volek was unaware of his injury till he could not urinate after he got home - at least that is the way I remember it.

That's total bullcrap and you deserve 100 "it sucks" for saying that.

He was probably injured more than he needed to be due to less than ideal conditioning and it cut short his career but to say he faked injury is total bullcrap!

When did he have a hamstring injury against Jacksonville? The leg injuries I remember with VY are the hamstring pull against Tampa Bay in 2007 that cost him some games, the knee in the 2008 Jacksonville opener, and now these knee and ankle injuries. I do think he's also had a quad tweak once but I can't remember when that was. The hamstring and quad injuries are the only ones you can attribute to conditioning. Knees and ankles happen to all sorts of NFL players, even those in great condition. Those are more fluke injuries.

Vince has mentioned that he's worked on his legs more the past couple offseasons, so I don't think we should see this as an issue going forward. Even if his legs are in top shape and somebody falls into his knee, it won't matter. I totally agree that many players would have been done with their knee bent like that. Good for him (and us) that he wasn't.
