Maybe he was depressed. Some people can have everything in the world and still suffer from depression and aren't happy being alive.

I don't understand suicides because even if you think your life sucks it still beats not being alive.

But why the hell did he have to kill his girlfriend too?

Same thing with psycho whore who killed McNair and then herself. Just kill yourself and leave others out of it.

The suicide is easily explainable. You don't have to be depressed to accept death over life in the slammer. That's a bleak future no matter who you are.

I meant suicides in general, but yea...

This is tragic on so many levels though. He has affected the lives of his child, his family, his girlfriend's family, and he has scarred Crennel and Pioli for life.

I can't even imagine having to witness something like that.

The nightmare season for the KC Chiefs continues ... even though this isn't 100% football related and thoughts and prayers go out to them - but just imagine being a Chiefs fan and hearing this story this morning. If you could forget about any season even happening maybe 2012 is it for the Chiefs organization and fans alike.

To make matters worse for their organization - the sure-fire QB 1st overall pick Matt Barkley from USC had that devastating shoulder/arm injury a week or so back and with a 1st overall pick looming for the Chiefs, that first pick and the continued search for a "Franchise QB" still remains bleak.

That's weird, because my occupation is actually a funny detector specialist.

What's even more surprising is the guy murders his girlfriend and he gets sympathy for taking the coward's way out instead of facing his actions like an adult.

I would rather die than spend the rest of my life in prison too. That said, I'd never kill my girlfriend in the first place. I would gladly blow my brains out to avoid life in prison though. No doubt about it. None of us know why this happened. Only the man who did it knew, and he's gone. Let's show a little respect for the dead and reserve judgement for now. I can't believe some of you people.

Very sad news and I can't imagine the thoughts of both families at this time. I agree with some posts above and this is not a time for jokes or a time to call him a coward. Apparently he was in deep mental distress that no one new. A healthy sane person doesn't murder their girlfriend in front of their own mother nor would they commit suicide. The scary part is how undetectable mental illness can be.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but out of respect for the families and fans please have a heart, they are facing a tragedy that none of us would ever want to deal with.
