^ Yeah, somewhere people got it stuck in their heads that CJ can only bounce everything to the outside, even though he's done nothing of the sort so far in camp.

Mcfadden showed in college and last week he is very effective running between the tackles. I guess your not a very big college football fan. Because you obviously didn't see too many of Mcfadden games.

I like the goal. I just hope his head doesn't get too big to fit through the gaps.

Its the same as a team saying they want to win the superbowl.Plus if any of us was a rookie in the NFL wouldnt we want to win ROY? I know i would cause if i'm performing well, i'm helping my team win. Setting goals in life helps you succeed.

Raiders defense will be better than the Titans. Raiders severly upgraded that Defense this offseason. Let see With addition of Deangelo Hall and Gibril wilson Raiders have one best secondaries in all of football. Titans secondary not even close. Raiders Lbs and titans LBs are about equal. Raiders LBs are probably better in coverage and titans against the run. The Titans defensivelien is stronger than raiders. Titans are pretty good rushing the passer. Raiders closed that gap with the moves they made. Kablimba edwards_ Raiders dline coach k Milliard has great track record with speed rushers. Edwards has looked great. Rookie Trevor Scott has explosive first step.(should be situational pass rusher) Last year rookie jay Richardson has dedveloped some nice pass rush skills to go with his run stuffing ability.
Raiders stop the run they easily are a top five defense.

You can have the best DB's in the league and you'll still get picked apart with your pass rush. Oh and Deangelo Hall= Overated.

No I didn't see CJ run but the point is everyone knows CJ gets a lane he going top be dangerous. The problem is he not going to many of those lanes to exploit. Like the poster alluded to what did CJ do before he hit that one big run. Nothing. Also Cj was playing against second and third stringers on defense. MCfadden Raiders on purpose made him run up the middle. Want to see him run in traffic and protect football. Mcfadden showed why he light years better as Rb than CJ.

What do you predict the Raiders' record will be this season? Y'all absolutely sucked last year, and I don't think anyone could reasonably think they can improve as much as your alluding to.

-Your Lbs better at coverage then ours,
-Your Defensive line greatly closing the gap compared to ours,
-Your offense better than ours, etc.

    Good luck with that.

It does sound as if the Raiders' secondary should be improved....and they did pretty good in the INT department last year, so that could get even better.

However, they ranked near the bottom of the league in sacks, which suggests they had trouble getting pressure on the QB.

They were also #31 in the league against the run....only the Dolphins were worse. That's not good.

I wouldn't rule out a dramatic improvement for the Raiders' D. (After all, the Titans did it last year, as did the Panthers in 2003.) But unless they get a whole lot better against the run, teams will just run it down their throats all season. And if that happens, it won't matter how good the secondary is.

You gotta be able to run the ball and stop the run. So far, the Raiders are only halfway there.
