    Manning started 16 games his rookie year. VY started 12 if I am remembering right. You did not even factor running yards (which does not explain the 2nd year, but it makes the first year better than Manning, IMO).

    We know he sucked last year. The reasons are myriad, but some of them are the lack of a big play guy around him, his injury, LenWhale's terrible ypc, Chow, and the WRs. Most of those have been improced, and I expect him to be up to a 85 passer rating for the year.

    Completely different style of play, teams, etc. McNair did okay but VY led a team that went 4-12 to 8-8 and almost made the playoffs.

    Also the ROY.
