Stupid pick...he's a MLB let alone an OLB. And why would we take a LB round 1 it's a day 2 pick.

IMO Mayo could play any of the LB spots. He has the speed, athleticism and instincts. He basically carried the UT defense. If he is the BPA on the board heck yes I would take him.

Think last years pick of Griffin. Best player on the board and versatile. If the Titans are thinking the same way don't be surprised.

Ummmmm.... Eric Berry? He was probably our second best defender, but not notably better than the 3rd, 4th, or 5th best guys. We only had one all-star on D this year.

Berry was close at the end of the season. He had a few more highlight plays, but was not as consistently good as Mayo. Hefney was not that good this year. Mayo surely didn't get any help from the bad d-line. He had to make a ton of plays and he did.

So if we draft a LB who runs the 40 in the mid 4.5s, had a vertical jump of 40 inches at his proday and is a tackling machine with 140 tackles last season that would be the dumbest pick? I don't think so.

mayo may not be day one talent, however, I think that him being in the SEC (the greatest conference in college football), he may have a shot at greatness in the nfl.

No need he is very good no doubt but MLB just isn't a position of huge importance in our defense.

Tully is coming along as well so were fine at MLB.

He is being projected in the 1st round now after his workouts.

Is he big enough for spot duty at DE?
