I think its awesome how overalls proved his great football knowledge in his post. The reason we went from 4-12 to 8-8 vinces rookie year was because of the defense according to him. I just have trouble understanding that considering are defense was dead last in yards that year. I'm just amazed we're bashing a guy for pre-season numbers. If that was a real game last week we would have just been pounding oakland up the middle the whole game.

Hmmmm. 6 years versus 40 to make it to a Super Bowl?? Seems more fitting definition for the Titans organization.

Matt Schaub didn't win a ROY. - So, he didn't win a popularity contest based on hype.
Schaub has never been to the playoffs or at least started. Maybe not, but by the same token he wouldn't have been his team's liability in the play-offs
Schaub was the backup to Vick. Favre was a back-up to Chris Miller; Steve Young was a back-up to Montana; Danny White was a back to Staubach.. What's your point??

Schaub wasn't the 3rd overall pick. Another poor draft choice by Bud the Dud. VY isn't worth a 3rd either.
The Texans can't even get a QB that is good. The Oilers / Titans haven't had one since Warren Moon. McNair was okay and I respected him. He was more heart than talent.
VY never had a WR. Barely even a RB. Yet the Titans were 5th in the NFL in rushing?? Hmmmmm???
VY led a team to a 8-8 record after the year before going 4-12. Only proves when you suck, you can only get better. Heck David Carr took a 2-14 team to a 6 win team. Incrementally its the same improvement - but David freakin' Carr.
Texans fans weren't begging to get Schaub they wanted VY. See my other post about T' sip homer and Texans fans. Understand that Texas university is an extremely large school (as is A&M), so it only makes sense a lot of Sips would carry their loyalty with Vince after he won their school a National Championship.

Of course I'm just a stupid homer. I would never call anyone stupid. Not my style, but you're definitely a VY homer. There are plenty of Titan fan posters on this board that aren't overly impressed with VY as QB. They don't make excuses for his poor play. The correcly critique his play.

Funny how whenever the Titans win, it's ALL VY. When the Titans lose, its everyone else's fault. Last time I checked it was 11 guys on offense, 11 guys on defense and 11 guys on ST to play the game. That's why the Titans win: a) Offense: running game (although you claim you didn't have an running backs) b) Defense: Titans D is as staunch as it gets c) Special Teams: Bironas right now is one of the best if not the best, place kicker in the league

Another Quality post. You just have to look at the Titans from a non Ethno-centric POV, you can't think just because VY is a Titan, he is the best QB alive, that is Homerism. It's ok to critique your own players, we do it all the time with Rey Hill and Odom, WRs and RBs, how come we can't see VY without rose colored goggles?

On Friday we will see two QBs selected top 4, Matt Ryan and Vince Young. We shall see who the better QB is.

You would have to with 3 RBs in the backfield.

Just because my name is V10Y doesn't mean I'm a homer. Look at my freaking avatar! The Titans were 5th in rushing because they run the ball everytime. Heck even Chris Brown did well. It's kind of funny how you replied back. Your acting like the Texans are actually better than the Titans. Hell no. I don't act like it everything is about VY. That's your Texan idea. I doubt you even know me and what my prespective is on the team. Hell you even said I was just follower of VY. I'm not 100% on VY either but most people around here are drinking some kool-aid about how VY is awful.

Please don't compare the Texans to the Titans again.

Actually, the Texans are going to be pretty good this year. They have the nucleus of a good defense and offense, and thus a good team, they just have to fill in the holes (RB, OL maybe, DL, LBs, and DBs). They will be our main rivals within 2 years. Book it.
