Jared Cook worth $10.5M?!?! What!?

Well apparently, we're still deciding on what to do. If we tag him at the TE rate, he can fight it for the WR. Let's say he wins that battle, I believe we have until July to un-tag him?

My point is if we tag him at 6mil and he wins the argument for 10mil, I'm pretty sure we can remove the tag. We wouldn't be forced to pay 10mil if we tagged him at 6mil

I say let him test the open market, I can't imagine many teams will offer him much more than we will. He could easily have a Martellus Bennett type story, average on his 1st team, finds the right team and gets much better. I've always liked Cook, but the fact is he's a 600 yard/5 TDs TE for the Titans. He'll end up on Team X and be a 1000yard/10 TD TE.

Why, other teams have seen him drop just as many of catchable passes as we have, and he doesn't really have stellar numbers for a TE or WR.
