If they don't think that Cook is worth the money a franchise tag would bring, that's fine. But to go out of your way to bring back Michael Griffin at what he's making, and then try to pretend that he is worth what he's making is ridiculous. Griffin's out to collect a paycheck, I think Cook at least has a desire to win.

If they let Cook walk....fine. But Griffin better be right beside him.

This is mighty true. I could see him getting cut tho. Last year extending him was cheaper than tagging him. I agree that he needs to go tho.

Well he was already a better blocker than cook... By a lot.

Ever since he made those comments mid-season on 104.5 I've just assumed he's a goner if we don't tag him. Then his comments after the TE coach was fired just cemented that notion. I think it's pretty clear the guy simply doesn't want to be here anymore.

Personally, I wouldn't miss him all that much. He's a great receiving threat but I don't think he's our long-term solution at TE. That said, I think we tag him. Who else would we even use it on? Marks? Harris? Witherspoon?
