Titans tight end Jared Cook is scheduled to become a free agent on Tuesday, and plenty of teams are interested.

The Browns, Dolphins and Bears are among the most recent teams who’ve been linked to Cook. Indications are over a half-dozen teams have expressed an interest in Cook.

The Titans opted not to place the franchise tag on Cook last week to avoid what would have resulted a fight on whether he should be paid as a tight end or a receiver. While the team would still like to re-sign him, time is running out.

DA BEARS!!! I would love it as it would piss all my Packer friends off. I keep telling them he's good even though he kinda blows.

I want to see him line up in front of J. Peppers or J. Allen, or catch a pass over the middle with C. Matthews lurking. We will see the same matador blocking, alligator armed TE that we are use to. Give Bennett a low ball contract and move on.

Cook can be a stud on the right team, those who say different are just butt hurt. Palmer wouldn't even know what to do with Gronk if we had him.

No I'm not insinuating Cook is in the same league as him but talent wise yes. I wish Loggains got a full season of use with him to see what he could do but we'll never know.

I'm not surprised. Cook looks very good on paper. He has 2 pretty big flaws though:

    1) He can't block
    2) He seems to have trouble with complex offenses

Palmer's offense was overly complicated for no good reason (IMO) and really hindered the team for the past couple of years. My guess is he ends up in Cleveland with Norv Turner as the offensive coordinator there. Norv's scheme is pass-catching TE friendly and they're looking for weapons. I can see the Rams as well.

Exactly while every other OC was simplifying offenses in order to keep the tempo up and defenses guessing Palmer was trying to install the run and gun which has been extinct for over a decade. I'll never understand that hiring. Of course people were all mad about missing out on Tice and look how that worked out. Loggains gets high praise, well see if it is warranted soon enough.
