exactly right! you take risks and make mistakes, then learn from those mistakes but if you never take risks then you will never learn

They did that a few times vs. Texans. Locker misfired on most (all?) of them.

These stupid 5 yard routes aren't going to scare any D...

what happened to all the play action and roll outs we buffed up this preseason? Teams know we're going to run, run, run, run, run so our playaction should be killer.

Roll outs are what is supposed to be Lockers strong point in his skill set, I don't understand why we don't use this to our advantage and throw it in the game plan often!

I don't get why we dont take a page from the Texans O and run the Stretch PA Boot. Works wonders with Schaub imagine what a mobile QB could do.

Titans rank DEAD LAST #32 in passing yards.

Yes, Jake has played against two very tough teams to pass against. However, he's still dead last in passing.

How far is his production going to get us in a passing league? Not very far. He needs to develop and improved quickly if we are to win some more games.

I wonder the same, and if the 2 of us notice how well it works surely Loggains does too.

Dilfer says Titans rushed Locker into starting role
    http://sports.yahoo.com/news/dilfer-says-titans-rushed-locker-180046019--nfl.html

I guess he's got a point there, I always thought we were going to sit Jake down for a bit (something like Rodgers did in GB). I don't think they had it in mind for him to sit as long, but I know they wanted him to sit more than he did (at least 2 or 3 years). Sure there is a valid argument in 'you have to be thrown in the fire' to learn and I get that and definitely believe it.

With saying all that, had the coach not been pressured for his job and had other 'rookie' QBs not gone so crazy (Cam, Russel, RG, Luck, etc...) I guess in hind sight him sitting for a bit longer mighta been the right thing to do. He does flash potential, but he's still got accuracy issues, stares at the rush too much, misses the easy throws, and just looks overall 'ansy' back there. That's just what I see from him through 2 weeks and I hope he can prove me wrong, but so far he still doesn't look ready.

We all grew tired of Matt but you have to remember he and Kenny did really well together (before KB got injured) and we've got even more threats now than before. Also, give him our new line and he'd make it look even better as he'd be more in control of the game and use those those quick passes to slow rushers (when he was here our interior OL was really bad). Also, he never really had a run game as support, to which we have CJ/Greene/Battle. Give an experienced QB like Matt with all those things - oh yeah, and I forgot, a seemingly killer defense - and he'd probably guide us really well (I mean if KFC took us on that run and got derailed b/c of bad luck - end zone fumbles, CJ injury, etc... - I'd say Matt would do better).

Just a late night ramble I guess. Hope all this proves to be garbage and Jake goes crazy from here on in, staring off with those damn chargers...
