    NASHVILLE NEWS
Family loses custody of ten year old son.
(From Nashville, TN) - A ten-year old boy was at the center of a Nashville County courtroom drama this morning, where it was being argued who should gain custody of the young boy. The boy has been consistently beaten by both his mother and father, so it was necessary to find another family member to take custody of the child. It was originally decided by the judge to allow the boy to live with his aunt and uncle, in keeping with child custody law and regulation requiring that family unity be maintained to the highest degree possible.

However, the boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt and uncle beat him more than his parents. Because of this, he obviously refused to live with them, and the judge agreed that it wasn't in the best interest of the boy. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried and said that they also beat him. After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented route of allowing the boy to decide who should have custody of him.

After two recesses to check legal references and confer with the child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Tennessee Titans, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

I heard that the Jaguars were talking about abandoning their contract with the Jacksonville Municipal Stadium and playing the rest of the season at the Toy Bowl.
