    He didn't get a bargain. He'd already paid for the car originally. He let this guy borrow it for a video and lost it. He wanted the car back.

    when you get busted with drugs in your car you lose the car. doesn't matter if it is your car or not it gets taken

    Yes but article says that the car didn't legally belong to him when it was impounded. If he paid for it and just loaned it to someone, it would still be his car....
