Final cuts are looming, 2 days after Thursdays game vs the Vikings the Titans will be forced to make some tough decisions. Titans receiver Marc Mariani is going to be one of them. Mariani often referred to as a fan favorite hasn't taken the field much this preseason, he's been hurt with a shoulder injury and leaves us all wondering what the fate of him as a Titan is.

One option is to PUP him, he'd have to miss the first 6 games, but it would extend his time with us, and give him the chance to prove his worth. I think most will agree he's one of the leagues better KR?PR but his WR skills leave something to be desired. Just as Mariani was looking like a NFL receiver he went down with an injury 3 weeks ago, so he has shown progress. RB Darius Reynaud does make the KR/PR/WR expendable, but Reynaud himself is a question mark to make the team.

Should the Titans PUP Marinai or cut ties with the 3rd year pro?

For a look into Mariani's world, here is his latest interview.

I'd like to see them put him on pup to start the season. If he gets healthy, and looks like his old self, they could consider cutting another player and activating him.

Extend the competition by keeping Rey and placing Marc on PUP. In six weeks, we'll at least know where Rey is, and have had ample time (at practice speed) to see if Marc is ready to take over.

Now that those guys from the ESPN comment boards seem to have vanished I see JC is back to being the main thread maker.

Those rooks had their chance, and they dropped the ball. TJ had to cut the fat and waive them yesterday.

Its preseason, and just like in the NFL preseason, GoTitans has its time where we allow the 4th stringer a chance to shine, but like we know, things didnt go too well for them.

If keeping Reynaud means losing Battle, HELL NO.
