personally I don't care what you think..to bad you didn't recognize the wink at the end of my statement either :ha:

If Cutler was here he would be playing just like Young is. Plummer is a better QB that KC :moon2: . If KC:moon2: was in Denver Cutler would be playing.

Leinart is banging miss Hilton, that's why he's so popular.

You guys are way too quick to get crazy on me over all this. As long as some of you acknowledge that Vince Young has some major mental issues, then I can leave the topic alone.

Those of you who admit that he is lacking a little upstairs, but say that you don't care as long as he wins...That's about as honorable of an answer you can give. Thank you.

I didn't mean for my couple of posts to dominate this thread, so I'll stop. My opinions can be left at this:

    1) I would've taken Leinart. Admittedly, I would've taken Ricky Williams over Edgerrin James, so....

    2) Vince Young has an NFL body--he SHOULD be an NFL player, just not a quarterback. His mechanics are awful. Just awful. Boarderline unfixable. Slow down your Tivo just once and watch his drop back starting with the snap, ending with the throw. If you're well-versed on the position, you'll know that you're watching something that is scary-wrong. I'm not talking about him being an unorthodox, fast, scrambling, athletic QB. That CAN work. It's his footwork, his timing, and most of all his release.

    3) Assuming that all of the sudden, I inherited this mess of a team as it is right now, If I were Jeff Fisher I WOULD start Young. I'd probably run option, do plenty of trick plays, onside kick a lot, and simply run the ball alot, because as soon as the off-season hits, I'd hopefully have the number 1 pick, switch Young over to WR, and pray that I could get Billy Volek back. Like I said, this is a mess, and I don't envy you guys.

So this means Leinart is not a legitimate NFL quarterback prospect? Then what about Young? His passing percentage was worse, he threw two interceptions (could easily have been five or six with all the balls thrown into double, triple and even quadruple coverage that no Titan ever touched). His rushing numbers were also terrible, and he fumbled twice, losing one of them.

If Leinart put up the exact same numbers that Young did Sunday, Titans fans would be ripping him apart. But, most say Young did OK. I think both guys have a chance to be really good, but if we're going to cut Young some slack for youth and inexperience, Leinart deserves the same consideration.

You should really lay off the sauce before posting. No he doesn't have the "A" typical QB mechanics...SO WHAT? It's worked for him so far and I don't see any reason why it won't now. I didn't see a whole bunch of batted balls on Sunday. He didn't stumble and fall on every snap and the INT's are just plain old rookie mistakes that every rookie QB in the league goes through. Manning didn't exactly light up the field his rookie year nor did his brother. Granted their mechanics are more of what you are used to seeing but they still sucked their rookie years. I saw Vince make some pretty darn good throws and he will get better as he develops more chemistry with the recievers and gets used to seeing the Defensive schemes. If you listen to the coaches he is plenty football smart and IQ has almost squat to do with how good a QB he can be other than reading defenses and that is still to be determined, but I don't see that he will have a big problem with that. I'm not going to judge his "mental issues", you afterall seem to have a few of your own.

SwingOnDeezBalz will find out down the road when with new coaching, Freeny playing for us at DE (we have huge CAP space) and VY comfortable with the offense we start beating the Dolts senseless. Enjoy it Swing while you have the chance. Your window of opportunity is closing fast.

I find it amazing how people will try and give false information credibility. I mean, c'mon - the frickin wonderlic article says the NFL never admits real scores and yet you act like the 6 is 100% credible. It isn't. The article provides "credible" sources playing down these "supposed" accusations. You sir, Swing, make yourself look very unintelligent by sticking with "maybe's" when people are providing credible sources which say your "maybe's" are false. And, then, after that you want us to admit your "right"?

Also, the wonderlic, you mentioned your Jr. High child took the sample wonderlic from USAtoday and only went through 7 questions, then upon completion quit from that point. Now, someone stated the test gets harder as it progresses and is timed. You sir just made yourself look even more foolish. If you wanted any credibility you would've timed the kid and made sure he/she answered all of them if you wanted any credibility. Maybe then, I would've given your post serious thought and our investment in Vince even more thought.

Finally, the mechanics. He doesn't have orthadox mechanics - we know that, everyone knows it. I don't know about everyone else, but I hate when people tell me stuff over and over that I already know. There are plenty QB's starting in the NFL who don't have "perfect" mechanics like Manning, but yet they are superbowl champs and have that oh so elusive ring, which you guys are countlessly hoping for.

So, in the near future, mr. Colt fan, please - don't bring a BBgun to a gun fight.....you won't last long. Have a nice day.
