is the media holding vince and leinart to different standards?

Listening and reading lots of nfl talk from the last week, I am getting the opinion that vince is being held to a different standard than matt leinart....

I've heard lots say that matt should be starting for arizona, while it is too early for vince...

they give reasons that matt should start like: warner sucks and just is too slow for their bad oline...

then they say vince shouldn't start against dallas, indy and washington b/c he is going to get killed b/c of a bad line going against a good pass rush...

it seems to me that the 2 situations are very very similar....if matt should start, so should vince and vice versa...

I don't know what these guys are talking about. From watching the highlights, it seems Vince had a by far more efficient day against a better defense then Leinart. Leinart could barely get the ball before he was sacked.

ironically, i was having a discussion with a fellow titan fan last friday and he tried to make the same argument to me that lienart should start and vince shouldn't....i just couldn't make the 2 points of view reason with each other...

hell Cutler shoud be starting before either of them

hahaha, ya i think espn just likes leinart better because he is the more traditional drop back safe gay qb that i think is rather boring to watch, look at last year and young who is a year or two younger than leinart out performed him by a lot

I have my own opinions, but I will keep them to myself. I think Young is JUST as ready if not more.

Matt Leinart is a legitimate qb prospect in this league.

Vince Young is a window licking retard. Did you see his mental test results? They want him to wait because he isn't mentally capable of succeeding in the NFL.

So yeah, there are different standards, and rightfully so.

Leinart came in for (Warner) and quickly lost a fumble of his own. Leinart finished with 49 yards on 5-for-8 passing. He also threw an interception on top of the fumble and finished with negative seven yards rushing.
