I don't think it's a negative at all. I just think you have to take that into consideration if you're going to use the logic of "Well, anyone who is top 3 all-time at any given stat deserves to be in the Hall".

I agree he was an iron man. That's my whole point. I think his longevity is causing him to be overrated a bit in this conversation. Here are his 5 best seasons statistically:

    - 2000: 5.5 Sacks, 2 INT, 1 FF, 2 DEF TD
    - 2001: 1 Sack, 10 INT, 1 FF, 1 DEF TD
    - 2004: 3 Sacks, 2 INT, 2 FF, 2 DEF TD
    - 2005: 2 Sacks, 5 INT, 0 FF, 0 DEF TD
    - 2008: 2 Sacks, 4 INT, 0 FF, 1 DEF TD

Be honest, if you didn't know who I was talking about and I showed you those stats would you think this player was HoF bound?

There is no question that Ronde Barber is a Hall of Famer...it's a matter of how long it takes.

I would say yes. That is a hell of a lot of INT's and td's. I had NO idea he got 10 int in '01... that is incredible.

Just remember, Michelle Griffin once had 7 INTs from the safety position. ;)

That was before he got his post-op surgery.

but no one can call Griffin an iron man or a leader......or a chance at being in the hall or worthy of being on an NFL team or a man.....

No doubt. I was just making a point. 75 players have had 10+ INT seasons.

I think just the ability to play those extra 6 years in the freaking NFL makes him extremely rare and worthy
