indeed, he has much less chance of making picks the way he's being asked tp play right now. I can't wait for our Lamont handicap to go next year. :))

Zone is notorious for getting more interceptions than man coverage for the simple fact that the defenders are actually looking at the qb the whole time.

that may be true if you have true zone type players playing true zone type schemes - we do not ....... we're in Schwartzville daddy-O

Pac's only glitch has been the way he comes up in run support. He has been diving at the ankles a lot. One guy even jumped over him in the Houston game. I think Fisher said something to him, because he adjusted later and started tackling higher.

yeah, it really is a shame we used the 6th pick in the draft on someone whose forte is man coverage and we never get to see him do what he does best.

  6. Interceptions are no indication that you are a good corner, when you are a good corner opposite QB will avoid you in every play, I think he is not the best yet but he is in the top 10 in the league.

They do NOT throw at Pacs side. That is partly because Hill is so bad on the other side, and the fact that we only play our guys on one side and not lock them on the best playmaker on the field, but at the same time he doesn't get tested.

If you ask me I would put Mcallister and Bailey above Pac and not by much. Both of those teams have a better D-line and that takes a load off of a DB's shoulders. When you have pressure you realistically have to cover for 3-4 seconds tops. Even when you do get burnt its hard for the QB to see it because he is usually scrambling for his life.

and the flip to that is that we used a 6th overall on a guy that can not only cover but can also return kicks

He's a very good corner with great ability. He's a top 10 corner in the AFC. He has a ways to go to be considered elite.

  10. I dare you to tackle a guy that weights 40 or 50 more pounds than you. How about that?
