I'm gettin' real tired of your Weeden sh*t TE. Weeden is a bum. If we let Locker go after this year, we run the risk of watching him become the next Big Ben somewhere else.

Big Ben? Jake is nothing like Big Ben. For one he doesn't rape women, and 2.) he's always hurt. Big Ben would play with a severed finger.

He doesn't create like Ben either. Elusive, yes, but not like Big Ben.

I'm going to say he's done as the starter. His salary is low so he'll be around next year, but the team will try to sign a FA Qb or draft one early (rounds 1-2). Especially if it's a new coach.

Do we have a New York Jets situation brewing in Nashville? Shaky coach returns in his final year under contract with 2 QB's. One who was almost good enough (Jake) and a top pick (rookie) i.e. Sanchez & Geno?

Jake will be here next year. Only owe him 2 mil. 2015 he's owed 13 mil though and if he doesn't impress he's gone. This is the draft to get a qb. Plenty of top talent. We need one now and if Jake turns out to be the real deal we can trade the rookie for a pick. If not our rookie has a year to sit (and most likely play a few games) then decline option on Jake and roll with the rookie.

I've not read the entire thread so I'm sure someone has already mentioned is Locker is here next season. The issue is the option for the following year has to be decided in May. The way I see it, no way the Titans commit to paying $13 mil to a QB who they can't rely on for that option year.

If Locker were to stay healthy, look great, etc. next season, the Titans could franchise him one season. It would end up costing a lot more than $13 mil but I suspect they'd work on a long-term deal if the Titans felt he was worth it.

I don't see any circumstance Locker isn't on the roster in 2014. He'll only cost $2 mil next season. Even if there is a new head coach, I don't see Locker being released.

However, I could see a new coach wanting to draft a QB early and having an open competition. If Locker loses out, he goes to #2 on the cheap and is gone after 2014.

I just hope Mr. Smith is more willing to make changes that Bud was. I also hope he is isn't stingy.
