Greene has good vision and is big, there's no one with what he has available. Of course he's overpaid but we're well under the cap for that not to matter

There is nothing special about Greene and never has been. He is a guy who some really like with no real explanation for why. He is just no big deal and at 28 years old and going into his 7th season it isnt likely he is getting better. No one should be upset if he is cut and no one should be upset if he is not. We need people to run the ball so he is just another guy.

As a solo running back, Greene would be average, at best... however, he's part of a stable of running backs. Average, at best, is a good trait to have when you aren't the only one running/moving the ball.

Keep him or cut him... won't be the end of the world, either way. As long as he is healthy this season, I think he will be a very good addition to the RB Corp.

He is far better than battle and as the only big, short yardage back I really hope he stays healthy and doesn't get cut.

"I sure do hope they don't cut Greene. They already cut CJ, which was stupid. They need a proven guy in the backfield. Titans fans just think they're gonna plug a rookie in and he's gonna be awesome. That's not how it works. Just as easily as he could be an All-Pro, he could be a bust. Any team depending on a rookie to do anything probably isn't a very good team."

:biglaugh: The comments on NFL.com trip me out.

I didn't care for the signing, but at this point, it's best for Whisenhunt to give him a chance to see what he can do in his offense and with a potential better OL.

Right now, Sankey is unproven and Dexter hasn't really proven he can be a consistent RB game in and game out.

If we had a capable QB, then we wouldn't need to treat the RB position like glass, because we may have to depend on our RBs a lot this year.

Forget Greene. If Sankey gets hurt this season we're f*cked.

If Greene gets outplayed and can't stay healthy during the preseason then I would expect him to get cut because of his contract and because he doesn't contribute on STs.

I'm hoping that Greene gets healthy and becomes the dominant short yardage guy that we brought him in to be.

If Sankey is able to step up and Battle too then Greene is expendable.
