    What's even better about that is some companies will match employee contributions dollar for dollar. You'd be a fool not to take advantage of that, but unfortunately many people aren't aware of it.

    Check with your payroll or personnel department to see if your company has a matching plan.

    Ok ok,,

    I made a mistake apparently with the savings calculator i used. Gunny will only have 223,000. Not $2.3M. I must have added an extra zero somewhere in the equation.

    Poor gunny thought he could retire at 50 and now i screwed him up.

    despite what you think, I am not an idiot and realised I wouldn't make that much.
    however 223,000 is nothing to be upset about.
