Insomnia - or atleast i think it is.

    you dont need to pop pills to sleep. theres nothing wrong with you, no such thing as insomnia.

    a good days work will put any man to sleep.


    go work with my grandpa on his farm from 4am to 8pm and youll sleep like a baby every night.

    Insomnia does exist. Anyone see that 20/20 episode with those people that are lucky to sleep about 10 minutes per week? They look like zombies.
    Maybe it was 60 minutes. But one of those shows covered 'Fatal Insomnia'. Pretty brutal stuff.

    let me have them for a week and they will be sleeping 1o hours a night.

    You should contact them, then. Because I'm positive that cure would earn you millions and they'd rather 'work hard' and live rather than die from insomnia.

    People fail to understand, if you dont put in a hard days work that makes your body tired and needing recovery time you're not going to sleep as good, on top of that if you have a job taking it easy throwing back some Cappuccinos and Energy Drinks it's going to make it worse.

    Exercising late in the evening will also make it hard to sleep, it speeds your blood flow and boosts your energy levels and makes your body work harder to burn fat.

    I dont want to make money like these medicine companys do, i'd just like to see the world become normal again and stop popping pills, People do not need that crap. they make a pill for everything these days, it's freaking crazy. People think it's cool to be diagnosed with some kind of problem. Like this cat who made the thread would love nothing more than to pop pills and tell his friends he has Insomnia.

    I used to have occasional trouble falling asleep.. Beta state thinking, waking episodes etc.
    My new routine has wiped that out.

    1: Stay up late as hell
    2: Take one valerian half hour before bed
    3: At sacktime I put on those Bose noise-cancelling headphones/iPod and listen to some tunes at a mid-low volume.
    Turns the brain off and I'm usually out cold in 10 to 15 minutes.
    If I wake up and have any trouble after that I have a reserve of Melatonin

    First, you need to have a checkup with your physician to see if there's anything wrong with your general health. Especially if this is a new problem. If you've had some changes in your life, that could contribute to the insomnia.

    Insomnia is a real diagnosis, and it has existed for years. A cheap fix is to go to Kroger's and get their brand of Benadryl. Look at the back of the box for the word "diphenhydramine". If you will notice, Tylenol PM's sleep inducer is "diphenhydramine". If you're not having pain, give your liver a rest and don't use the Tylenol. You can take 50mg/2 tabs of the Benadryl/diphenhydramine every 4 hours. If I could prescribe something for you, I'd start off with 5mg of Ambien. I've personally tried Rozeram, which is non-narcotic, and it made my insomnia worse! Good luck and I hope that you get some sleep.
