I love the Apple TV concept.....but I really don't like their format that requires payment.

Bipolar- I looked at my work laptop today and noticed that it has a 7 pin S-Video out. Would this work with a TV with a 4 pin?

    i've experimented with 360Connect (xbox360) and TwonkyVision (ps3) today
they're both media streamers for Mac's

360Connect isn't very robust but it get's files from here to there
Twonky is web server based and is a little odd to operate

    but they both worked

    so far I've streamed mp3's / Divx / avi / mp4 and mpeg2

if you own either console, give one a try
