Im Not Expecting Too Much This Year; Hopefully Something

    I hope I'm wrong, but I really don't think Jake Locker is the future. I think the defense has the wrong coordinator at the helm, and needs a lot more work. Love Chris Johnson, always. Our wide receiving core is one of the most underrated in Pro Football, but Kenny Britt needs to go and we should've never let Jared Cook walk I don't care what anyone says.

    An 8-8 record is what I'm expecting at the very best, but wouldn't be surprised at 7-9, a game better than last year. I think Munchak is the "best offensive line coach" in the game, but needs to stay doing that, as Jerry Grey needs to stay a "defensive back coach." Even though it's only the first pre-season game, having the Washington Redskins backups to drive up and down the field with Kirk Cousins and Pat White who hasn't played football in "three years", this team needs a stronger coach and identity the way the Tennessee Titans use to be known for.

    But what do I know, right....???

    I agre to an extent. Cook had to go, he didn't want to be here and he was asking WAY too much for his actual numbers on the field. I agree that JG sucks and needs to go and I think everyone on this site is worrysome about Locker. I do think they have a MUCH better chance this year as they have more talent on both sides of the ball and Gregg Williams should help. I think we will all have a clearer picture as we get towards the end of pre-season.

    F.Y.I, Kirk Cousins will be a starting quarterback in the NFL next year. Bet on it! At this stage even before the 2013 season starts, I would take Kirk Cousins staring under center in place of Jake Locker. Did you see him play last night?

    This is hilarious, a week ago everybody was talking about playoffs.. now we're suddenly .500 due to one pre-season game? God you people overreact like crazy.

    Do you really think that we're going to show off everything in preseason? No. These games mean NOTHING. Our offense/defense looked alright the 3 possessions they played, not to mention we're already sitting out some of our starters. We'll still be 10-6 & in the playoffs as a wildcard (depending on JL progression).

    A thread like this one is the reason why I usually have a 24-hour rule after games, win or lose.

    After one half of one preseason we're already firing people and giving up.

    There was a thread last night DURING THE GAME complaining that the play-calling wasn't entertaining enough.

    I thought it was pretty clear this game was intended to set the tone on offense that running the ball was the most important aspect of this team.
