    "They'ld never lose another game."

These are the words of Vince's high school coach, after Vince Young got shut out by Oklahoma in his sophmore season at Texas. This was while Vince was struggling and Texas fans were calling for his head. Everyone wanted him benched. It was a ballsy statement, but it was also prophetic. After that game, Texas didn't lose another and Vince Young looked like a totally different player.

Now take that for what it's worth. Obviously, comparing high school and college to the NFL means very little, but when it comes to managing the players, a lot can be learned. Why have we not seen the same Vince we saw in 2006 ever since? What happened between then and now that he would look more like the shaky QB from his early days at Texas, instead of the guy breaking away for a 30 yard TD against the Texans in OT? We'll probably never know, and maybe it's all in Vince's head, but when someone brought up this quote recently, it made me wonder...

...Because high school coaches (particularly ones with a "claim to fame") are going to know exactly what the NFL coaches need to do.

Fire Jeff Fisher, he couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag.

One read then run doesn't work against the big boys. Especially when you aren't that fast.

Yea, I brought this up in OP. Maybe you should read before posting.

Like I said, this isn't about coaching, this is about managing players. Fisher never managed Vince the way his previous coaches did in order to win championships with him. All I am saying, is over-managing Vince has clearly been a hinderance to him in the past. Fisher has been doing that from day 1. He's obviously not gonna take coaching tips from a high school coach, but it doesn't mean he can't learn something about his players from them.

We've gotta dump the Fish for this to happen. I'm all for keeping Vince if Fisher is gone, but we all know Fisher aint leaving.

Please stop talking. This is exactly how VY feels, and it's the reason why we're in this mess right now.
