Pollard hasn't stayed still much his entire career. I've been a fan of his for a long time so Id like to see him stick around for a change. He's the kind of guy we need.

Same here.Everywhere he has went he has played well.I'll never forget when he put Brady out for the year in the very first game when he was in Kansas City back in '08.Right then i thought he must be a big hitter something i've always loved on defense. Then i think the next year in '09 he was with Houston and they played New England and Welker went out with an ACL.Then a couple seasons later playing for Baltimore he injured Gronkowski another Patriot, lol. Not sure why he sort of hops from team to team but he has been good every place he has been.

Now as far as playing here i like the headhunter vibe and he makes no excuses for laying the wood.He has already been vocal since he has arrived here about going out and giving it his best shot and he wants everyone on the defense right behind him which is a good thing. Its been a few years since we had a stellar defense but with Pollard joining and Gregg Williams lending a helping hand coaching up the defense i have a good feeling about the defense this year.Zach Brown was looking really good as the year went on and he will be another player i think that steps up on defense.

If Pollard does play well this season and the defense ends up doing big things then i think the team would definitely need to look into making him a contract offer and talk him into staying. With Pollard and a few more players stepping up the defense could be in for a great season.

Bernard Pollard and Gregg Williams will be a big part of putting the defense back on top.

Munchak has already said Pollard will start over Wilson. Wilson will still see the field on a lot of plays though. If this ends up working out well I can def see Pollard getting a medium term deal. Maybe 3 to 4 years.

Yea Pollard is penciled in at SS and Wilson will play nickle or play SS in passing situations.

I must have missed Munchak saying Pollard was starting over Wilson.

I find it hard to believe that Pollard will start over a guy who has been a more efficient run stopper than Pollard, one of the best tacklers among safeties, and top five in coverage among safeties simply because he doesn't hit like a Mack truck. Pollard is a hammer. Sometimes, you do need a hammer. Coverage has been most of our issue. I can easily see both get a lot of playing time, though Wilson is trending toward the end of his career.
