If Chris Brown is starting for us at any point next year--I'm gonna lose it

That's the way I see it too 9. As much as I like Henry, I think Lendale is a different kind of power runner in that he's more of a pile pusher for short yardage.

I maintain Brown has seroius concussion issues that will continue to limit his effectiveness. think back at how many times after he's been tackled in a fairly routine play and how he has the starry eyed look and leaves the game not to return.

Chris Brown > LenDale & Travis

And his only flaw is his frail body/mind, where he limps off the field after every carry. If it weren't for that, he's easily a legitimate starter and more.

Brown was a WR coming out of college, and his body type isn't made for an everydown RB.

No he wasn't, he was one of Colorado's all-time leading rushers after he switched from Northwestern (who wanted to convert him to WR).

There's a thread over at the JetsInsider boards that says Chris Brown is scheduled to come in for a visit with the Jets today. It's funny I thought Brown would be on the first flight to Denver the moment he became a UFA (he just seemed liked a good fit for the Broncos running style).

Any RB can go to Denver and be a 1,000 yard rusher.

Chris Brown doesn't have a concussion problem. I don't think he's had a reported concussion in the last three seasons.

The odds of us re-signing Chris Brown are about 1/4 of the odds that we will re-sign Travis Henry.

And he thought the Broncos had a contract ready and waiting for March 2, eh?

    :sarcasm:

Brown has talent but is unreliable. RBs who are unreliable don't make #1 RB money. Someone will bring in Brown as depth who will pay him to make 10 carries a game.

Not if these rumors of what he is asking for are true. Chris brown would probably sign a 3 year $5m deal to be a backup. Henry is reportedly asking for a deal 5 times that. There is even a rumor of him asking for a $12M signing bonus. He can kiss off if that is even close to being true.
