If Carr signs elsewhere, should CJ be made our primary kick returner?

That seems to be an area which we haven't yet utilized our speedster..

I've been watching some of his college highlights returning kicks, and boy does speed kill.

Who knows.. Lowry might be able to turn him into one of the best in the league when it comes to returning kicks.

if last pre-season was any indication, johnson shouldn't be the returner. he looked like a running back looking for a hole instead of a returner hitting it and trusting that a crease will be there like carr did.

he also dropped a couple kickoffs.

HELL NO! if we had a serviceable backup maybe, but as we saw with a little dinky ankle injury, he's gone! Then the Titans would be completely screwed having to rely on strictly LenDale.

Carr is going to the Lions imo.

I agree. Not that we would be "screwed" with Lendale but you never want your star player playing special teams. What about Hawkins or Davis?

Also, has there been any news about CJ's ankle injury? After dropping out of the probowl I haven't heard anything. Is it going ok?

Yea, leave CJ behind a line I think. I'd hate to see Carr leave, but he wants more playing time and he just doesn't cut it as a corner on the Titans. I give him props for coming in that one game and being the star, but he's got too much talent in front of him on the depth chart. We can easily pick up a WR to handle kicks in the draft this year.

    NO.

You never put your best player in to return kicks. Draft a guy.

Better yet, avoid it all, & re-sign Carr. Doesn't fumble. Multi-usefull.

& for the 40 billionth time, Reinfeldt ... WE HAVE MONEY. Use some of it, please.

Carr wants a shot to start at CB somewhere, thats why he hasnt signed with TN yet. The Titans cant give him that option because of Finny and Harper but i would think with the departure of King that he could slide right up the depth chart. I dont know about you guys but i wasnt to impressed with his cover skills when he filled in for Harper,i'm sure that has to do with lack of reps but i held my breath everytime they threw to his side. His return skills are unbelievable, hopefully he realizes that TN is a much better situation then the Lions then again if they throw more money at him i expect him to land there.

Why not Hawkins or Griff? Griffin had some great returns when he had the chance
