Yep, the end-of-the-world poeple are getting annoying... Even extremely reasonable people that i know are saying stuff like "boy, there sure are a lot of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions lately! what does it all mean?"...

It means that at best there's a better and faster news network than there's ever been in history, and it's getting better and faster all the time.... at worst, it means that some plates are shifting.... and guess what? One of them is right under Memphis, Tennessee and could conceivably be next.

Meanwhile, the media is focusing on Katla, what may or may not erupt, but fear sells well right now. This is a bummer because I finally can easily pronounce Eyjafjallajoekull.

 

We've been told about the New Madrid fault in West Tennessee for years, but guess what, last week there was a 2.0 earthquake in EAST Tennessee...now what the hell...??

I remember a 3.0+ quake in Winston-Salem, NC in the early 90's... that was weird...
