I don't think I've ever eaten 'roo but it is regularly on the menu at restaurants.

My parents went to Australia on vacation a few years ago and my father refused to eat a kangaroo. He said it was too cute to eat. He won't eat venison either.
He has no such affection for cows, apparently...
I'd like to try some. I ate at an Ethiopian place today. Very interesting food...
alligator is about as out there as it's gotten for me ... good stuff, like chewy chicken

I've never had Kangaroo either. Nor Croc, nor Rabbit.
I do hear Croc is nice though.
