........ but it seems like theTitans FO was interested about Roy Williams and actually made an attempt to get him from Detroit. This is from Adam Schefter's blog ..... http://blogs.nfl.com/category/adam-schefter/page/2/ .... about half way down.

"All along, Dallas was the favorite to land wide receiver Roy Williams. But Tennessee and Philadelphia made a last-minute push to see whether either could pry the receiver away from Detroit.

Neither team offered anything close to what the Cowboys did — a first-, third- and sixth-round pick. But each was interested enough to monitor the situation and make offers to the Lions.

The Titans have lacked a top-flight receiver for a long time. Also, heading into Sunday’s game against Kansas City, their regular starting wide receivers, Justin Gage (knee) and Justin McCareins (hamstring), were nursing injuries. Yet Tennessee never increased the nominal amount it was offering the Cowboys.

The Eagles, on the other hand, are a more intriguing and mysterious situation. Last offseason, they made a major push to sign then free-agent wide receiver Randy Moss and, at one point, actually thought they had landed him. Once he got away, Philadelphia charted other receivers’ availability, everyone from Williams in Detroit to Chad Johnson in Cincinnati to Anquan Boldin in Arizona. But the Eagles failed to land any.

They made another push on Tuesday and as usual, it was shrouded in secrecy. The Lions had two teams actively interested in Williams — the Cowboys and Titans — and a third that stepped in to see if it could pry loose the receiver. But just as they came up short on Moss, the same happened with Williams, whose overwhelming desire was to return to Texas and to play for the Cowboys.

Williams got his wish; the Titans and Eagles did not get theirs."

I am glad we never went the way of Dallas....crazy IMO.

I do however enjoy seeing the fact that we are at least pursuing the idea of attaining a proven wideout.

yeah I, like you, am glad to know we're out there feeling things out. however, Dallas gave up WAY too much for a WR they really didn't need (unless of course they're phasing T.O. out).

MR's a smart man and I trust that he's got the Titans best interest at hand.

Yea it at least gives me hope for trying to get a wide receiver in the draft or free agency.

It would have been embarassing if we didn't try. Glad we did.

Funny, but Mr. Reinfeldt said that he wasn't interested in someone with "potential" talent that was already in the league.
