Why not shut down the main page chat window. Accourding to my company it is a huge bandwith user.

 

Yeah. Just make the "Titans vs ___ OGT" thread and post the chat link- then close that topic so it can't be posted in.
Then sticky it so it'll stay at the top of the forum.

Try it for a week at least. Couldn't hurt any.

And Jeff - The Michigan forum I frequent is busier on gamedays, but doesn't shut down. I think there's just some secret to it. There are several sports forums like this. We're actually one of the smallest teams fanbase-wise, so there's got to be other options. May be costly though- which is always an understandable issue.
