I cant seeing a Rookie beating out Rusty Smith in camp.

    OK Munchak said Locker will compete for the starting job next season!

    So that means no real good Vet is gonna come here just to compete with Locker knowing TN will favor Locker. So i think Collins ,Locker and Rusty will all be competing.

    I cant see the old Collins doing enough to become the starter, he is past his prime. So that leaves Locker and Rusty, both have a great work Ethic, gonna come down to who learns the offense first.

    Of course he said he'll "compete for the job". No head coach is going to say anything different.

    That doesn't mean he thinks he'll start or even has a chance to.

    Rusty is a third stringer at best. Pick up McNabb or Bulger. Locker will overachieve and start before the end of the season.

    we need to bring in a veteran QB for Locker to backup and learn the ropes until he is ready.as far as Rusty Smith goes i think he will be third string material at best.

    I now they always find a way into the game by the end of their rookie year, no matter what the coach said up front.

    Vince Young, Mark sanchez, Bradford, Stafford... and so on and so on

    Locker is a rookie and yes i definitely think he would outperform Rusty.
