Hutchinson may need surgery on knee

Titans coach Mike Munchak said on his weekly radio show on Monday night that there’s a chance guard Steve Hutchinson could undergo arthroscopic surgery this week after suffering a knee injury last Sunday.

“I think he may have a ‘scope, but we’re not sure at this point,” Munchak said on the radio show. “It’s nothing major, no torn ligaments or anything like that. But it may be something that needs a little work done.”

Munchak indicated there’s a possibility Hutchinson might be done for the year.

“Then the question will be … you only have four weeks left in the regular season, so a decision will be made later on what exactly we should do,” Munchak said.

If Hutchinson’s injury is long-term, Munchak said the Titans would consider moving Fernando Velasco from center to guard and inserting Kevin Matthews at center.

In other injury news, Titans safety Robert Johnson said on Twitter that he’ll be undergoing surgery today. He suffered torn ligaments in his foot during last Sunday’s loss to Houston.

Matthews is so bad, he better not play.

At least now CJ will only have 200 yards total the next 4 games and it'll put our run game back to 32nd where it belongs, then hopefully major o-line changes will come.
