I'm in south western Connecticut, and here they're evacuating all residents in low lying areas. All I can say is thank God it's too warm to snow. Last year dealing with snow in October was horrible.
Better safe than sorry though. If they don't hype these things up and things get really bad, who's to blame? But if they make it like the second coming of the "perfect storm" and it's nothing crazy, at least no one has to buy bread for a month.
We are in line to get hit very early tomorrow morning. Hard to say what it will be like once it crosses gets into the great lakes. Could make it worse
exactly. I mean what if you live on the 22nd floor of some Manhattan highrise? Do you buy a few cases of water, assuming there is any too be bought, and some beenieweenies or do you grab some cash and start walking inland? Put people in impossible situations I HAVE to watch weather channel at work and they lerch from crisis too crisis and totally ignore yesterdays crisis. Remember those western wildfires, uber drought? They always mention global warming climate change artic ice melting on polar bears... I truly hate that channel
On my street and in my whole area the city put in oversized storm sewers last year. . . . . . It took forever and was annoying as hell but it should pay off this week.
