Will you think of the Titans as the overachieving team who was predicted to come in last in the AFC South by many but started 10-0, finished 13-3 and saw the rise of Chris Johnson, Cortland Finnegan and Michael Griffin.

    -or-

A team who choked away home field advantage?

    No question to me.

We had the talent to go all the way, and we totally screwed ourselves.

Although we may have choked in the playoffs I will look back at the 08 season and remember how great the team played as a team and how the team rallyed together when the so called "face of this team" (Vince) fell apart and still we finished with the best record in the NFL. We got the division title back.

I'm to lazy to go back and look up the posts but I believe most here didnt think our season would be as good as it turned out. I felt we had a good team with playoff potential but 13 and 3 went beyond my predictions. That said, I hate that the titans, no misprint, beat the titans in the playoffs. We overachieved this season but fell flat in round one.

I hate to say it was an overachievement, because I expected us to win at least eleven games. What I really just don't understand is how everybody said we didn't have the talent to have a winning record before the season, and then after we go 13-3, these people suddenly think we had all of this talent that we wasted. You don't go from talentless to over-talented in four months. Personally, I'm going to look at 2008 as the year we took back what was rightfully ours (the AFC South) and the second year of a very long run of Tennessee dominance. Hopefully this run ends in a Super Bowl.

I went into the season doubting the Titans. I really didn't think the Titans were going to do so great. I was really disappointed when the Titans drafted Chris Johnson. I really think that the Titans were overachievers last season. It turned out to be an awesome season except for losing to the Ratbirds.

I could've easily answered both considering I didn't think the Titans would be nearly as good this year. But I voted chokers, because that's how I view the season now.

Sad thing is, every year the Titans made the playoff, except 2008, I feel like we could've,should've been champions. We were at least 2nd or 3rd best in the NFL for 5 of our 6 playoff seasons.

A friend (Nick Smith) told me go in with no expectations and you won't be let down.
