How do you think this defense will look in the future without Albert Haynesworth? He will not be with the Titans after this year you think antonio johnson and the rooke jones can fill that gap and be enough to be a dominate defense in the NFL.

What makes you think Haynesworth won't be with the Titans after this season? At this point, if he isn't on the roster in '09, I'd assume it would be because he didn't play nearly as well this upcoming season.

I'm hoping Julius Peppers just in case Kearse doesn't play well this season and then draft Fili Moala from USC at DT.

    KVB
    Jones
    Moala/Brown
    Peppers

Even though we'd be weak at DT I love the DE position.

I doubt Haynesworth will be back either.

    1. He'll be pissed at us as we'll probably try to franchise him again. (penny-pinching Mike Reinfeldt style)
    2. If we haven't paid him yet, I dont assume we will. Too expensive. Again due to MR.

These new guys might step up and be solid though. Maybe that's what they're waiting to see.

I think there is going to be some uncertainty on any big contracts until the labor negotiations are completed. Most of those franchised didn't get a deal done.

As of right now, 2010 is uncapped. But the Titans also get one franchise tag and two transition tags.

More than a little premature. I bet that we will get a deal done before he hits FA. And we'd never sign Peppers. MR spends our $ on our players. Which is the right way to build a team.

I'm just going to throw this out there. With the money for a contract for AH(which would be huge) we could re-sign Finnegan, upgrade Harper, another OL for depth, 1-2 more WR's, other re-signings, and a DL.

Maybe something like Justin Miller(CB), Chris Gray(OG,C), Bobby Engram(WR), Ben Obomanu(WR, okay so what if he went to Auburn), and Marcus Tubbs(DT). That looks pretty good. Of course add the 1st round pick in maybe Michael Crabtree, Patrick Turner, or Percy Harvin. Of course this would cost more than AH new contract but not much. Think about it like this. You have the budget for the Titans off-season then cut that for AH contract. So that makes are budget increase. I would perfectly happy with those additions.

Yeah, paying him $7.3 million dollars to play one year is really cheap! We are really saving money by making him play on the Franchise Tag. :greedy:

Tommie Harris got a 4 year 40mil. extension. From what I've read AH wanted more.
